Chai Milk
Prep: 5 minutes
Makes: 16 oz.
Ingredients
- 2 cups dairy free milk of choice
- 2 tsp. maple syrup/honey
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. ground coriander
- 1/8 tsp. ground cardamom
- Pinch of ground nutmeg
- Pinch of ground ginger
- Pinch of sea salt
Directions
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend on high until well incorporated (~ 30 seconds). This drink is best served cold, so if you're using a batch of freshly made dairy free milk then you'll want to refrigerate your chai portion for at least an hour before drinking. Ingredients will separate after sitting, so be sure to shake before drinking.
Pro Tips
Storage: keep in a sealed glass container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
Storage: freeze for future use (leave 1" headspace to prevent the jar from cracking), just shake before drinking. Freezing in ice cube trays is also a nice option, so that you have chai cubes on hand for smoothies or snacking.
Snack Attack: keep some chai milk on hand for those times when you're craving a sweet snack. A few sips of this and it will help curb cravings.
