Ingredients
- 1 cup unsweetened dairy free milk of choice
- 1/2 cup pre-cooked/steamed beets
- 1/2 frozen banana
- 4 large strawberries (fresh or frozen)
- 1 Tbsp. chia seeds
- 1 Tbsp. raw cacao powder
- 1 Tbsp. coconut shreds
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
- Optional: Scoop of grass-fed collagen or unflavored protein powder
- Optional: ice cubes
Directions
- Combine all ingredients into a high speed blender and blend until smooth.
- Pour into a fancy glass and enjoy!
Pro Tips
Prep: Cook or steam beets ahead of time, allow the to cool then store them in the refrigerator until you are ready to use. Do this in a large batch, so that you have beets to use throughout the week.
Beet Selection: Look for freshly picked beets that aren't ginormous. These will have less of a "dirt" taste. If you're new to beets, try starting with golden beets as they can be sweeter.
